&lt;p id='p_1'&gt;There's a reason the best directors in Bollywood want to work with Sushant Singh Rajput. He is a good actor, of course. But also, he's one of the brightest sparks in the industry with a mind of his own.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id='p_2'&gt;A mind he tends to very well, expanding it with the kind of reading that would not be lost on a philosophy student.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id='p_3'&gt;One minute quoting from &lt;em&gt;Deviate: Seeing Reality Differently&lt;/em&gt; by Beau Lotto, and another minute from John Berger's classic &lt;em&gt;Ways of Seeing&lt;/em&gt;, without managing to sound like a prig, he's an entertaining conversationalist.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id='p_4'&gt;Self aware in a way few actors are, he is as at home reeling off the third law of thermodynamics as he is quoting Kevin Spacey on Al Pacino.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id='p_5'&gt;The actor, who famously is a drop out from Delhi College of Engineering, is currently prepping for three films. He loves telling a story - and in four short years has already made a mark with exceptional performances in &lt;em&gt;Byomkesh Bakshi&lt;/em&gt; and &lt;em&gt;MS Dhoni: The Untold Story&lt;/em&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id='p_6'&gt;His next three characters: an astronaut in a film by Sanjay Singh Chauhan (director of &lt;em&gt;Lahore&lt;/em&gt;); a dacoit in the languid 70s in a film by Abhishek Chaubey (&lt;em&gt;Ishqiya, Udta Punjab&lt;/em&gt;) and a Muslim palki bearer in Kedarnath in a film by Abhishek 'Gattu' Kapoor (&lt;em&gt;Kai Po Che&lt;/em&gt; and &lt;em&gt;Rock On!!&lt;/em&gt;).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p id='p_7'&gt;As he sits in his hotel room in Delhi, Rajput talks to Kaveree Bamzai about the five books he's reading right now and why Bollywood defies the laws of physics.&lt;/p&gt;
