Jet Airways has better HR managers than GoI: Twitter shreds Smriti Irani, again

Former Union human resource and development minister aka India's favourite bahu aka Rohith Vemula's ex-best friend aka Yale academic and current Union textile minister - Smriti Irani - is a quite a fun character.

Some love her, some hate her, but everyone is interested in her.

Smriti'ji likes to make tall unsubstantiated claims (read: lies) in Indian Parliament about a dalit student's (whom she calls her "child") death. She also made a name for herself in trying to channellise her work experience as Indian television's original dramaqueen to great effect in shaping the higher education for the future generations of this country.

Her political career is full of moral victories as she actually lost the only two Lok Sabha seats she has contested from. In that Baazigar way, her rise is like Arun Jaitley's, only that, you know, Jaitley's kinda smart.

Smriti prides herself on her humble beginnings though. From serving McGrills at McDonalds to being India's favourite telly-bahu to being an undereducated education minister, her rise in India's collective consciousness has been meteoric.

On Wednesday, Smriti revealed something many had been suspecting for long: She faced rejection at job interviews because people "didn't like her personality".

Because Indian Twitter had just recovered from a bad day with professional troller Piers Morgan, it naturally couldn't not take the Smriti "Jet-lag" bait. Let's just say that poor Smriti didn't see this coming, or did she?
