Why did Aamir Khan decide his incredible India is now intolerant?

With the luggage full of batteries, to play his underwear-cum-stereo onboard the spaceship he took flight in blockbuster PK, Aamir Khan should have spared sometime to listen to Prime Minister's Modi's Mann ki Baat. But then Aamir seems to be envious, believing that only he had proprietary rights to the title of his movie, which Modi seemingly prefixed to his talk show as: Mann.

Breaking his silence, Aamir spoke his mind out, leaving the news channels hot-on-debate. As per a PTI report, he joined the debate over "rising intolerance" in India, saying his wife Kiran Rao had asked if they should move out of the country, as she feared for the safety of their children in a climate of insecurity.

Speaking at the Ramnath Goenka Awards, Aamir said there was an increased sense of despondency over the past six to eight months and that he was alarmed by it. "Important that those in power strongly condemn what's wrong," the actor said, backing writers and intellectuals who have returned their awards following the Dadri lynching and the murder of rationalists.

"Historians, scientists have had a view to express. Returning awards is one way of getting your point across," said the 50-year-old, who has been the recepient of Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan. "Everyone has the right to protest," he said, adding that he supported any protest that was non-violent.

Aamir's words, however, didn't match his deeds. If he truly supports these non-violent voices, why didn't he join the award-wapsi brigade?

But then something is better than nothing. At least Aamir has joined the ranks, intolerant to intolerance. In doing so, however, Aamir, has put foreign tourists into dilemma. Even as he complains about intolerant India, he happens to be brand ambassador for Incredible India.

Since 2009, the Union ministry of tourism has been featuring Aamir as the ambassador for its immensely successful Incredible India campaign and spread the message of "Atithi Devo Bhava". If the brand ambassador is not convinced with the hosts, who behaved like his Ghajini in Dadri, why to continue woo the guests?

Anyway, like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, Aamir, has landed in trouble, which may seek his migration to Pakistan. Right-wing forces may seek his imprisonment provided they get access to the decade-old video evidence, where Aamir is seen as a Pakistani militant, who romanced a Kashmiri girl, Zoonie, only to mastermind bomb blasts in the national capital.

But then there's hope. Millions of his fans, immune to religious intolerance, have counter video evidence. It seeks mercy pleading Mr Perfectionist's foolishness. They say he is one of the 3 idiots!
