Aamir insulted his motherland, proved 'Money-ev Jayate'

We were ecstatic to see Lagaan and wept when watched Taare Zameen Par. Aamir Khan was always trying to better the best in the film industry and even his Ghajini, very intriguingly named after a temple destroyer who unleashed terror and masterminded Hindu massacres and looted us, was a hit. All his movies and his wealth and awards and the popularity can't be attributed to the support he supposedly receives from his fellow co-religionists. He made PK, on an astonishingly derogatory theme that hurt faithful Hindus. And remember India is still a Hindu majority country. It was like making a movie denigrating and mocking Islamic icons in Saudi Arabia or Pakistan. One can think of the consequences if it was created that way and in those lands. But Hindus are Hindus, too tolerant and too compromising and too careless about their faith, Aamir made a lot of money on PK too. And again, it happened not because Muslims supported his movie. He is what he is because of the Hindu majority support - all his directors, producers, PROs, fans, award jury members, his cameramen, his money-managers, his political friends in Delhi - are all Hindus, whom he contemptuously described as intolerant.

He is supposedly a Muslim. A faithful one. He didn't convert when he married a Hindu. His children bear Muslim names. And he is not an idiot, that he doesn't understand that all his wealth and fame and glory doesn't come from his ilk alone. Hindus have supported and loved him without ever caring what faith he belongs to.

And he hit at them when he raked up the artificially-manufactured propaganda of being intolerant and said what his wife may not perhaps now, support, that she wanted to leave the country because of the intolerance prevalent here.

Here? Since when? After Modi came to power? When did Aamir discover this intolerance?

Aamir forgot that his countrymen - a tolerant Hindu majority - tried to make him a hero of the nation. Remember Satyamev Jayate? It was not a Ranbir or Hrithik but a Muslim Aamir. Every theme that had a moral fibre running through it, had Aamir in it. How to be nice to the foreigners, how to keep the ancient monuments well preserved, how to behave like a good Indian, Aamir was paid handsomely to tell us Indians. And he made money out of "Thanda means Coke" too. Some morality was that indeed.

The "intolerant Hindu", the "intolerant Indian", the intolerant citizens scared him so much. But not the massacre of 1984, nor the forced exile of the Kashmiri Hindus. He didn't remember that those who never believed in any segregation on the lines of religion or creed, or never questioned if Aamir had any political allegiance, supported Aamir. And those were hatefully called intolerant by him. His Hindu supporters were ugly and bad enough to think that he should leave the country and go to a dream land.

He can as well leave his mother for a happier pursuit no doubt.

It was not the Muslim population, it was not just the Congress followers and not those who divide India intolerantly on religious lines that made Aamir what Aamir is today. A friend in the Indian Army tells me that during the Kargil war, when film actors were taken to the border to boost morale of the soldiers , Aamir didn't spend a paisa from his pocket and he travelled spending the Army's money and of course, took fees. If this is true, we should have been alarmed at that .

He has proved his Satyamev Jayate meant just 'Money-ev Jayte'.

Aamir doesn't mean what he portrays in his advertisements and movies. He just lives for money and safety. But I am sure he would not like to migrate to Saudi Arabia or Pakistan. They won't have his tantrums and accept abuses to his adopted land.

The sooner he makes up his mind to migrate, the better. I am sure the abusive and denationalised ilk of Pratap Bhanu Mehtas and Nayantara Sahgals will come forward to shield Aamir and twist and distort the voices from the other side.

India being India, a nation that loves to honour its tormentors, Aamirs will still get advertisements - if he is compelled for considerations of money and comfort to unwillingly stay on in India - and he will continue to get assignments, money and of course support from a de-Indianised media and faceless politicians.
