Barack Obama's Beast is a ride to die for

Come any presidential visit to the home of 1.25 billion people, we get awestruck with the grandeur of our visiting guest. And when it comes to the US president's India sojourn, we get frenzied over everything that the world's most powerful person brings to show us.

All speculation and analysis aside, the car that the US President Barack Obama travels in is no less an attraction than the president and the first lady Michelle Obama.

The Beast is far more well-equipped than the regular armoured vehicle to dispel any attack on the US president. The limousine can withstand and protect its occupants from heavy firing, shelling, landmine blasts and even a missile attack. It can cut off outside air supply in the eventuality of a chemical attack and enables its occupants to breathe stocked air.

The Beast always carries a bank of president's matching blood group and emergency oxygen stock. Driven by a CIA trained person, the Beast is insulated from tyre punctures and fuel tank explosions. It can run in extreme darkness using its night-vision navigation system.

Inside the diesel-engine powered vehicle, the president remains well connected to the White House and Pentagon through advanced satellite phones and other communication systems.

One can imagine its security strength by the fact that the Beast's doors weigh equal to that of a Boeing 757 aircraft's door.

The bomb-proof limousine is a seven-seater General Motors Cadillac that is reportedly priced at Rs 18.49cr.

The secret service agency has nicknamed it the Beast. With a top speed at 60 miles per hour, it can clock from 0 to 60 miles per hour within 15 seconds and weighs 8 tons.

The Beast has everything that POTUS needs while in transit in or outside the United States of America. It landed in India yesterday travelling in a special aircraft, the day before Obama arrived.

The vehicle is so central to the US president's security that protocols have to be broken to let the most powerful person in the world travel in the most secure car in the world.
