From Rashid Khan's all-round show to Shubman Gill's quality batting and Rinku Singh's stunning show for KKR, IPL 2023 saw some fabulous performances.

While there were one-match wonders like Harry Brook or Venkatesh Iyer, who slammed centuries in one game but couldn't sustain their performances, there were also players who maintained their consistency in nearly all the matches and won several games for their teams.

Here are 5 best performing players of IPL 2023:

1. Rashid Khan (GT): The Afghanistan allrounder has arguably been the best performer for Gujarat Titans this season. He was not only brilliant with the ball, but also produced superb cameos with the bat.

Khan took 25 wickets in 15 matches which also includes a hattrick against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). With the bat, Rashid has been troublesome for the bowlers in the death overs as he has an excellent batting strike-rate of 223.21.

2. Shubman Gill (GT): If the defending champions Gujarat Titans have been able to win big run-chases, then opener Shubman Gill is one of the big reasons for this. Gill has batted with a superb strike-rate of 149.17 scoring 722 runs at an average of 55.54. Gill has also slammed two centuries this season making him the second highest run scorer this season.

3. Rinku Singh (KKR): The left-handed batter has been the star of KKR this season. The 23-year-old from Aligarh, who had been running with the drinks for the last few seasons, proved with the bat this time. Having made quite a mark last year, Rinku, in 2023, emerged as the best finisher for KKR, even outshining the likes of Andre Russell.

Rinku has scored 474 runs in 14 matches at a strike-rate of 149.53 averaging 59.25. He was bought at a base price of just Rs 55 lakh.

4. Piyush Chawla (MI): This might be surprising, but Chawla has been one of the best players of Mumbai Indians (MI) this season. At at time when the 35-year-old veteran spinner had been written off, Chawla, with his skills and variations, proved that he was not done yet. He has picked crucial wickets for MI at times when the team failed to stop the momentum of the opposite team. The leg spinner has scalped 21 wickets in 15 matches at an economy of 7.76.

5. Yashasvi Jaiswal (RR): While all eyes were set on Jos Buttler, it was Yashasvi Jaiswal who stole the limelight this season from Rajasthan Royals. With a strike-rate of 165.69, Jaiswal has made 424 runs this season including a 124-run knock off 62 balls against MI. Jaiswal had been with RR from last three seasons, and this year he finally got to show his potential with the bat.
