Dil toh bachcha hai ji, so a 45-year-old millionaire is paying 2 million dollars to reverse ageing

We, humans, claim that we are scared of nothing, and can conquer everything. However, ageing is something that society has always made a big deal about. From hiding your wrinkles to taking a fad diet, people would do almost anything to look young.

Among us, celebs, millionaires and athletes are probably the ones who take the most extreme steps to 'stay young'. For instance, tennis start Novak Djokovic, aged 35, sometimes hangs out in a pressurized egg to enrich his blood with oxygen and model Kendall Jenner has an expensive wellness room altogether. But all these methods are nothing if we take a look at what millionaire Bryan Johnson is doing.

Bryan Johnson, 45, a software developer, became a millionaire when he sold his company, Braintree Payment Solutions, to Ebay's PayPal in 2013 for $800m.

So, what do with all that money? Try to get young and start reverse ageing so that you can be in the body of an 18-year-old (travelling the world or buying a luxurious apartment would have been easier though).

In the month of January, Bryan was all over social media and the Internet when he spoke about 'his quest' to regain his youth through a rigorous plan. He wants to be 18 again. For this, his plan involves a strict diet, medical procedures, treatments, and spending around $2m a year.

He is once again in the news after recent interview, where he finally opens up about why he is going through the entire process of age reversal.

But first, how is Bryan doing this age reversal process?

Johnson has his own programme that is known as the Blueprint, (available online -- he wants others to follow it too). In the programme, he takes clients through his journey of how he wants to have a body and every organ of an 18-year-old.

On the surface, Blueprint may seem something about health, wellness and ageing. It's really a system to make tomorrow better for you, me, the planet and our shared future with AI.

Last year I reduced my epigenetic age by 5.1 yrs in 7 months.

He has uploaded several Youtube videos of his routines and here's what we found out about his blueprint project and his routine:

  • He has 30 doctors - from nutritionists to MRI specialists.
  • He undergoes daily body fat scans, routine MRIs, and often, invasive blood and stool sample tests to see the biological age of his organs.
  • Right from the morning where he wakes at 4:30, he starts his day by taking supplements, and 'light therapy'.
  • He has 100 different protocols embedded in his day and consumes precise 1,977 calories a day.
  • He eats 70 pounds of vegetables a month, with his breakfast consisting of a standard mix of broccoli, cauliflower, black lentils, mushroom, garlic, and ginger, followed by a meal of "nutty pudding" with nuts and berries, and finally, a meal of vegetables, berries, nuts, and seeds (along with 15 grams of 100% dark chocolate and 30 millilitres of extra virgin olive oil).

  • He admits to ending the three ounces of red wine a day he used to consume in order to meet the metrics.
  • And if you think that's it, No. He takes more than 50 supplements in a day right from waking up to before bed. Check out the list:

Now, my body's 70+ organs speak for themselves, through hundreds of measurements (blood, saliva, stool, fitness tests, and imaging), communicating what they need to be optimal. Freeing myself from the moment-to-moment chaos of my mind has been the most liberating experience of my life.

Even though some critics and Twitter users call him and his programme a 'little too much', and impossible to adhere to while others called him a 'walking experiment' and 'someone to look cautiously'.

Why is he doing it?

In a recent interview with Fortune, Bryan says he is doing it says he wants to live long to enjoy more of what life offers.

What if there were an auto-pilot for my well-being?

Where is the use of AI?

Bryan uses a lot of tracking devices. Right from the morning, he measures his BMI and fat percentage and whatnot to keep his body in check and organs at an optimal functional level, for this, he credits the use of AI, which has made his life much easier.

Bottom Line

Even though, Bryan claims he has reversed 5.1 years of his age in 2 years, there is only very limited study and research that can actually find out the reality of Bryan's age and well, also not everyone can afford and do this process.

Also, before you go here is the song if it is still playing in your head after reading the headline (Thank me later).
