Why 'ban' on Ae Dil Hai Mushkil wouldn't hurt film's prospects

Popular personalities always find themselves under the sword when a media debate begins. And almost each time, film personalities get dragged in, to give their opinions on the matter, and they don't have a choice in that. They will be badgered with questions each time they come out to interact with the media.

Some are forthcoming and state their opinions clearly on micro-blogging site Twitter, or at length on Facebook. Some of them proactively attend media sessions to push their opinion. Some of them happen to be yesteryear has-beens trying to get back their fifteen seconds of fame by rolling with the popular sentiment.

It takes no wit, intelligence or empathy to spew venom on the various platforms available to us. And yes, we find ourselves divided on the issue. Here are the two teams reacting to the partial ban on Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil after an Indian political party threatened to vandalise Indian theatres because the film has an actor hailing from Pakistan.
