I'd rather watch National Geographic than Bigg Boss 9

Viewers will agree, the Bigg Boss crop this year is rather dull and boring. We are still waiting for the season to bring us some excitement and drama. With the housemates getting along with each other rather well, the Bigg Boss house resembles a scene from a Sooraj Barjatya movie. We would rather watch animals in their natural surroundings on National Geographic!

Makers of Bigg Boss get our pain. That is why they fill each episode with mindless tasks. This time there were three.

Bigg Boss has gone on a disciplining spree to teach a lesson to rule-breaking contestants. Last night, he asked the captain to nominate three biggest rule breakers in the house. Yuvika, Mandana and Rochelle were nominated to face the punishment for removing their mics (Yuvika), speaking in English (Mandana) and sleeping (Rochelle).

The three were asked to step inside the Double Trouble room. Viewers would remember this room from the Aman and Kishwar task earlier last week. The three were required to make a decision that resembled a sphinx's riddle. Every decision they make would affect the housemates together.

The options given to them were:

1. If one presses the button in front of them, the other two standing in the adjacent booths will be required to do all the housework till the next order from Bigg Boss.

2. If two press the button, the third will be required to clean the house.

3. If none press the button, two housemates would be chosen to clean the house.

4. If all three press the button, one housemates would be chosen to clean the house.

Restless Rochelle was the only one to press the button, leaving Mandana and Yuvika to be the "maids of the house" as Mandana put it. Rochelle's decision did not go well with Mandana, who decided to bluntly tell her that she wasn't capable of understanding instructions or making smarter decisions. This led to Rochelle shedding a few tears alone and being consoled by her boyfriend.

In the second task of the day, housemates were required to listen to the good, bad and ugly truths about themselves from Rimi, Mandana and Aman Verma each. Rimi, in a fairy godmother style, appreciated the housemates' good traits generously. Aman, whose task to provide them with the ugly, too took the safer route by just advising the contestants. It was Mandana however, who decided to vent out her frustration at the housemates. Irritated with Rochelle's dumbness, Mandana openly told her that she was tired of making Rochelle understand small things.

The last task, courtesy the biggest sponsor of the show, looked like an exciting game of scrabble. But turned out that the contestants were tricked into making a two-minute advertisement for the company by arranging random letters on a plank.

We can hardly wait as Salman Khan comes to the Bigg Boss house tonight and injects a dose of heavily needed energy in this "reality show".
