What Bollywood taught me today: Dilwale DDLJ le gaye
After a mammoth 1,009 week run at Maratha Mandir, the film made an exit from the theatres today.

It was always rumoured that Yash Raj had paid to keep the blockbuster DDLJ at Maratha Mandir after breaking and setting a few world records. It would have been too conspicuous to pull out after a round 1,000 weeks in October last year so maybe they just pushed it by another nine weeks. This is just gossip that entertainment journos exchange, so please free to doubt its veracity.
The movie will always live on in our hearts for opening us up to the NRI world, a world of love too perfect, for being a path-breaker that spawned millions of copies, for being the bane of girls who copied Kajol's unibrow with little success, and numerous sons that were named Raj by besotted mothers.
However as Yash Raj has said in their press release "this endearing and endless romance will continue to live in our hearts forever" and through gifs that will always be used anytime anyone is at a loss for emoticons.
