India will face Hong Kong in their second match of Asia Cup 2022 on Wednesday (August 31). After defeating Pakistan in the first match, Indian team will be high on confidence. Hong Kong too has been on a winning run with victories against Singapore, Kuwait and UAE. But they will have a huge task ahead when they face Team India today.

On paper, the Indian side with the likes of Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli, Bhuvneshwar Kumar looks the clear favourites, but Hong Kong too has some good players and the team has the capability to stage an upset.

3 Hong Kong players to watch out for:

Ehsaan Khan: The right arm off-break bowler from Rawalpindi, Pakistan, can cause some trouble for the Indian batters. He has been in good form in the recent three qualifying matches. In the three games, Ehsaan has picked up 9 wickets. In 31 T20I matches he has played so far, Ehsan has taken 39 wickets at an average of 17.90. Though the wicket of Dubai International Stadium doesn't offer much for the spinners, Mohammad Nawaz, spinner of of Pakistan team picked 3 wickets against India.

Yasim Murtaza: Murtaza, who also also hails from Pakistan's Rawalpindi, made his debut in July 2022. He has been the highest run scorer for Hong Kong in the last three matches. Opening with captain Nizakhat Khan, Murtaza has scored 130 runs in the last three matches. Along with the bat, he is also a good slow left-arm orthodox spinner and in the last outing against UAE, he proved economical as he conceded just 17 runs in 4 overs and picked up 1 wicket.

Nizakhat Khan: Captain Nizakhat Khan is a brilliant allrounder for the team. In the last qualifying match against UAE, he picked 4 wickets in his spell conceding just 24 runs. With the bat also, he can be very good as hit a half-century against Kuwait. With Murtaza, he can give a good start to Hong Kong's innings.

Will KL Rahul play? After KL Rahul's dismissal for a duck against Pakistan, it remains to be seen whether he will be included in the playing XI against Hong Kong or Rishabh Pant, who sat outside in the first match, will replace him. Rahul, who comes back from a hamstring injury, will have an opportunity to score a good knock if he is included in the side.

If India beats Hong Kong today and Pakistan beats Hong Kong on Friday, there might be another India vs Pakistan match on Sunday.
