The FIFA World Cup 2022 finally kicked off on Sunday (November 20) with hosts Qatar losing 0-2 to Ecuador in a Group A game at Al Bayt Stadium.
Qatar became the first host nation to lose in the opening game of the tournament, but the more embarrassing part was that most of their fans had left the stadium way before the final whistle.
The 29-day event didn't get a great start but there are some very good group games this week that you shouldn't miss out on.
