India will face Bangladesh in their fourth fixture at the T20 World Cup in Adelaide Oval on Thursday (November 2). India are at the second place in their group with 4 points while Bangladesh are at third position with 4 points but with a poorer net run-rate than. A win against the Shakib-Al-Hasan-led side will take the Indian team to the top place in the group and strengthen their position for the semis.

Head to head: India have faced Bangladesh in 11 T20I so far and has emerged victorious in 10 matches and lost just one. The Indian side would hope to continue its winning run against their neighbours. The last time India met Bangladesh was in 2016 and India won by just one run.

Indian side: In the last match against South Africa, barring Suryakumar Yadav, the entire Indian batting lineup fell flat as South African pacers Lungi Ngidi and Wayne Parnell looked in top form. Still, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya look in good form and they can score big knocks in the game against Bangladesh.

In the bowling unit, Arshdeep Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammad Shami are doing extremely well with the new ball. Rohit Sharma might also keep Deepak Hooda in place of Axar Patel in the side.

Bangladesh side: Bangladesh so far in the tournament have defeated Zimbabwe and Netherlands but lost against South Africa. Taskin Ahmed has been the star bowler for Bangladesh as he has scalped 8 wickets in the Super 12 matches winning two player-of-the-match awards. Mustafizur Rahman and Hasan Mahmud add more depth to the fast bowling and have the ability to pick wickets at regular intervals.

On the batting front, Shakib-Al-Hasan and Najmul Hossain Manto will be the key players. Hossain hit a 71 run-knock against Zimbabwe which was his career best. One weak point for Bangladesh is that they don't have a proper finisher. Both Nurul Hasan and Yasir Ali have so far failed with the bat.

Chances of rain: Rain might play a spoilsport in the second half of the game today. As per the weather forecast, chances of precipitation is almost 40% in Adelaide today. If this happens, this will be the fifth match in T20 World Cup to be spoiled because of rain.

India's probable XI: KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma (C), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik (WK), Deepak Hooda, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami, Arshdeep Singh.

Bangladesh probable XI: Najmul Hossain Shanto, Soumya Sarkar, Litton Das, Shakib-Al-Hasan (C), Afif Hossain, Mosaddek Hossain, Nurul Hasan (WK), Yasir Ali, Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud, Mustafizur Rahman.

The match will start at 1:30pm IST and will be telecast LIVE on Star Network and will be streamed online on Disney+Hotstar.
