Amitabh Bachchan's Twitter hacked: With Imran Khan's photo put there, why would a Turkish group hack Big B's account?

Probably it was just a gentle reminder to Big B to up his Twitter game.

Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter account got briefly hacked.

His profile photo was replaced with a photo of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, looking sombre. A ‘love Pakistan’ tweet was posted from the hacked account as well. Soon, the account was restored.

We were told that 'a Turkish group' might have been behind this prank. Some Pakistani websites reportedly got hacked too. Basically, when you were sleeping, hackers were executing surgical strikes.

But who would hack Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter account and then paste Imran Khan’s photo onto it? For sure, not some Turkish peeps who have several other problems, including one called Erdogan, to deal with.

It looks more like the handiwork of cyber soldiers belonging to the other side of the border.

Whoever it was — perhaps he/she/they were not happy with how the Turkish football team was humiliated at Iceland’s Reykjavik airport.

The footballers were made to undergo long customs check at the airport — which resulted in diplomatic tension between Turkey and Iceland.

Now, these were issues that once upon a time used to perturb our Shahenshah a lot. He used to comment on issues pertaining to local, national and international importance. Yes, he chose to keep mum on various other issues as well. But he was nonetheless vocal.

But now, we rarely get to hear from him.

Is he still keeping count of those tweets?

There’s another interesting development. Have you even seen Amitabh Bachchan wishing other Bollywood stars on their birthdays of late? No.

In fact, we have had several Bollywood birthdays in the last few weeks, including that of Vicky Kaushal, Sonakshi Sinha and Sonam Kapoor. Doesn’t something seem off? Previously, the senior Bachchan used to wish them lavishly on Twitter, followed by tart complaints of not receiving any proper response.

Where are those golden moments of Big B’s Twitter days?

Nowadays, his Twitter timeline is replete with his own photos plus lofty captions, vapid seasons’ greetings, etc.

That's exactly why his Twitter account was hacked — to remind him of how the timeline should have been.
