Of course Bigg Boss isn't scripted! And of course Anup Jalota-Jasleen have just a spiritual tie!

This must be the magic chant whispered into the ears of singer Anup Jalota who entered the Bigg Boss house a month ago. So, the celebrity contestant, who contributed to 95 per cent of gossip surrounding this year’s otherwise banal show, 'accepted' Jasleen Matharu as his 'girlfriend' as long as he was inside.
The moment he gets evicted (read, his contract ends) though, he says that Jasleen is his student — and their connection is spiritual. They never had any physical relationship.
Well, we believe him.
We also believe everything we were told.
Like, the supposed romantic relationship between the thrice-married Bhajan singer and his student, Jasleen Matharu, the apparent anger/disapproval of Jasleen’s father, their apparent break-up, followed by a supposed patch-up on the show itself, and now, Jalota’s eviction — and the story of a ‘spiritual love’.
Here’s what we were told about the relationship a month ago:
Jasleen: This is going to come as a huge shock to my parents and friends as no one is aware of my relationship with Anup Jalotaji. We have been dating each other for the last three and a half years. We usually don’t get time to spend with each other in the outside world due to our busy schedules, but now with the help of Bigg Boss, we will get to do so. Also, we will get to know if we can stay together forever.
Anup Jalota: Age gap has never bothered us and now, once we go inside the house, we will get to know the real reaction of people about our relationship, since until now, nobody knew anything. So, whether good, bad or ugly, we will get reactions from the house.
Jasleen’s father: This news was a shocker for me as well as for my family. However, I don’t want to comment anything on her personal life till I meet her. She is on the Bigg Boss 12 house and I want her to stay positive — and emerge as the winner of the show.
Fast forward to the present.
According to reports, which quoted a post-Bigg Boss Jalota, Jasleen contacted her guru a few days before she was supposed to join the Bigg Boss house. She apparently requested him to be her partner inside the house. But Anup Jalota, because of his busy schedule, turned down the offer. Then Jasleen’s father apparently requested Jalota to accompany his daughter. Then he agreed — but was shocked when he heard Jasleen claiming Jalota to be her romantic partner on the opening day of the show. In his defence, Jalota is now saying that he had always maintained Jasleen was/is just his student. So, now he says that the relationship drama was scripted apparently by the showmakers. And he danced to the tune of the show, because all he wanted was to help Jasleen (in grabbing some limelight).
Well, going by this account, Jasleen and her father must be credited to get Anup Jalota on board at all. Both Jalota — and the showmakers —must thank them.
Because Jalota reportedly got Rs 45 lakh for each week he stayed inside Bigg Boss house. And, we believe, the show earned its initial TRPs from the Jalota-Jasleen excitement. The relationship became such a talking point that Jalota’s first wife, Sonali Rathod, was even asked to comment on this relationship.
Then, Jasleen got fame.

But then, it started fizzling out.

No wonder Bigg Boss 12 dropped two places on the TRP chart last week. Apparently, Naagin3, Kundali Bhagya, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlaata Hai, Kulfi Kumar Bajewala, Kumkum Bhagya, Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma, Kaun Banega Crorepati, Shakti-Astitva ke Ehsaas ki, Indian Idol, Ishq Subhan Allah, Guddan Tumse Naa Ho Payega, Nazar, Kasautii Zindagii Kay and RadhaKrishn are all ahead of Salman’s Bigg Boss 12.
