As the world celebrates Valentine’s Day, Covid is still here to celebrate with us. India has reported as many as 34,113 fresh Covid cases in the past 24 hours. The country’s daily positivity rate stands at 3.19%. The Omicron variant, driving the third wave in the country peaked during January end.

Now, the Covid graph has drastically dropped.

1. INDIA'S COVID NUMBERS

India has reported 34,113 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. The country’s daily positivity rate is slightly higher than yesterday.

The weekly positivity rate remains at 3.99%.

91,930 people recovered from the virus yesterday.

10,67,908 Covid tests were conducted on February 10.

Over the past 24 hours, 346 deaths were reported in the country.

2. MARKET TIMINGS TO CHANGE IN DELHI?

The national capital reported 804 new cases on Sunday. As the cases are continuously declining, market associations have requested to extend timings for markets and shops to open till 10 pm instead of 8 pm. The government is yet to make any decision.

4. ONLY UK FLIERS TO BE TESTED FOR COVID

The West Bengal government has relaxed restrictions for international air passengers. The government has announced that international passengers other than those from the UK will not be tested for Covid and nor be quarantined upon arrival at Kolkata airport.

5. 70% OF CHILDREN BETWEEN 15-18 YEARS HAVE RECEIVED THEIR FIRST DOSE

On Sunday, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that 70% of India's adolescents between 15-18 years have received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

"Young India further strengthening the world's largest vaccination drive. Over 70% of our youngsters between 15-18 age group have received their 1st dose of Covid-19 vaccine," the Health Minister said.
