DailyOh! What Rhea says Sushant’s sister did to her, to why Naseeruddin Shah doesn’t care about a ‘starlet’

It is always good to start from the start because you can’t start from the end and if you start from in between, you run the risk of running towards the end without knowing the start. This might have left you confused because we started from in between. To start from the start, actor Rhea Chakraborty has said in a statement how the beginning of her end of relations with boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput’s family started. Speaking on her behalf is advocate Satish Maneshinde but legally what Maneshinde says is presumed to be what Rhea is saying.

So Rhea has said that in April 2019 she went out partying with Sushant’s sister Priyanka. Priyanka got drunk and started misbehaving so Rhea got her home. Not her home, but Sushant’s. At home, Priyanka and Sushant drank some more. Rhea went to Sushant’s room because she needed sleep. At some point in the night, Priyanka came and groped Rhea. Rhea complained to Sushant. Sushant had a quarrel with Priyanka over this and then things went downhill between Rhea and her boyfriend’s family.

Sushant’s father KK Singh maintains Rs 15 crore from Sushant’s account has been withdrawn and transferred to different accounts at the behest of Rhea. Now, Enforcement Directorate has asked KK Singh to provide proof because ED’s own probe has reportedly found no such proof.

Can KK Singh find what the ED couldn’t? We can’t (yet) find the answer to that.

The Supreme Court, on its part, couldn’t find anything wrong with the sanctity of the PM Cares Fund. The court has rejected a plea that pleaded the SC to direct transfer of all contributions made to the PM Cares Fund to the National Disaster Relief Fund (NDRF). The court said, “The PM Cares fund is valid as a public charitable fund. There is no need to transfer all contributions to NDRF.” The Opposition’s charge has been that PM Narendra Modi hasn’t told people just how much money has come to PM Cares. So, today Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad spelt out some big expenses made under PM Cares. He still did not say how much came in. That will probably be a better case for people to probe than how Sushant died.

Actor Naseeruddin Shah, meanwhile, has lashed out at everyone trying to offer their probe findings on the death, including a ‘half-educated starlet’. Now you can debate whether Kangana Ranaut is a star or a starlet. You can also debate whether the comment was meant for Kangana. But Kangana is not participating in any such debate. She has said she would accept Shah’s ‘name calling’ as Bhagwan ka prasad.

Kangana is okay with Shah but not Karan Johar. She is so not okay with him that she wants his Padma Shri withdrawn. Is it possible to strip someone of an award without award wapasi? Yes. Is it possible in Johar’s case?

Read this to know.

Forget Kangana, forget Johar and also forget Shah who went after Kangana today – for now. Let’s talk about the Shah who is in hospital. Yes, Home Minister Amit Shah is in hospital. He was taken to AIIMS last night around 2 am after he complained of body ache and fatigue. This comes barely 3-4 days after Shah returned home from hospital upon testing negative for coronavirus.

Shah’s admission to AIIMS led many to remind Shah and BJP that AIIMS was built by Jawaharlal Nehru. AIIMS Delhi was indeed built at the behest of Nehru, but do you know why it was not built in Calcutta (now Kolkata) as Nehru wanted?

Blame Bidhan Chandra Roy. In 1957, an offer was made to transform SSKM Hospital into an institute similar to AIIMS. Roy turned down the offer saying he wanted to build a medical research institute in Calcutta on the state’s own resources and not on Central sponsorship. State or Central money is all people’s money. You can differentiate between people and people (we aren’t advocating it) but how do you differentiate between money and money unless you are travelling abroad and need currency change.

Anyway, Roy gave Calcutta neither one built on state money, nor one built on central money.

Money not spent is money saved but state assets also generate money so not spending money to build state assets is like not using the brain for the fear of running out of it.

People's Bank of China has used its brain and invested in ICICI Bank amid ‘Boycott China’ movement. How much has it invested? Rs 15 crore. Should you be worried? Experts say no because banking is a highly regulated exercise and in this area China can be regulated.

Meanwhile, Dream11, and not Patanjali, has won the right to spend on Indian Premier League, winning the bid for this year’s title sponsorship at a cost of Rs 222 crore. Patanjali didn’t win because Patanjali didn’t bid. Baba Ramdev had said he would make a bid only if no other sponsors come in. But several sponsors came in: Unacademy with 210 crore, Tata Sons with 180 crore and Byju with 125 core.

Baba Ramdev for now can focus on Coronil. Actor Prabhas is focusing on Adipurush, his next venture which will be a Hindi-Telugu bilingual. The 3D action drama will be ‘celebrating victory of good over evil’.

You may find evil all around and yet we have been listening to stories about good declaring victory over evil since adi kaal. Good never declared it. We just heard it because we wanted to hear it. More on that some other day, probably on a day that never comes.

More on Adipurush today because Adipurush is the Word Of The Day. Adi in Sanskrit means first, so adi-ant is loosely first and last. Always good to start from adi to get to the ant. Adipurush is the First Man, largely believed to be Adam, from whose rib First Woman Eve took form. The theory flies in the face of logic. If you have a thing for logic, you can turn your face away from the theory.

For now, you can’t turn your face away from the virus. You can ditch the virus by covering your face with a mask though. UP Health Minister Atul Garg and Biocon billionaire executive Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw unfortunately couldn’t follow the ditch principles and have tested positive.

The one billionaire who shows no signs of slowing is Elon Musk. Musk has become the forth richest billionaire with a fortune of US $84.8 billion (Rs 6,330.32 billion). If you could lay your hands on just one of those billions, life would be luxury. Why think one when you can get in multiples of one? Think big. Think bucks. But don’t overthink.

Stay safe.

See you tomorrow.
