&lt;p id='p_1'&gt;The usually peaceful celebration of the battle of 1818 that was fought between the Peshwa army and Mahar regiment of the British forces turned violent on January 1. Two hundred years back, this battle had resulted in the defeat of the Peshwas. The violence left one dead, several injured and property worth crores destroyed. The tension, however, is set to heat up politically with chief minister Devendra Fadnavis ordering a judicial probe hinting at a political conspiracy, and NCP leader Sharad Pawar, along with other Opposition leaders, blaming fringe right wing groups for the violence.&lt;/p&gt;
