&lt;p id='p_1'&gt;Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who was dismissed from his post over corruption allegations &amp;mdash; the Panama Papers &amp;mdash; in July 2017, has been disqualified from holding public office for life by Pakistan's Supreme Court. A five-member bench of the country's apex court unanimously ruled on April 13, that anyone disqualified under Article 62(1)(f), which sets the precondition for a member of parliament to be '&lt;em&gt;sadiq&lt;/em&gt; and &lt;em&gt;ameen&lt;/em&gt;' (honest and righteous), would be considered banned for life.&lt;/p&gt;
