One of the greatest tennis players of all time in the world, Roger Federer had a hilarious moment to share about the time he wasn't allowed to enter Wimbledon, one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments in the world! Because he forgot his membership card!
The Swiss tennis champion retired from the sport earlier this year. During an appearance on a talk show hosted by Trevor Noah, Federer revealed the hilarious story of the time when he was denied entry into Wimbledon.

All the man wanted was to get a cup of tea, but sadly he had forgotten his "membership card", which he wasn't sure he had since he had won several Wimbledon tournaments.
So, here's what happened: Roger Federer flew to London from Tokyo after an event, to see a doctor. He decided to get tea at Wimbledon since he had two hours before his flight home.
And he went up to Wimbledon security asking where he can get in. You see, Federer is mostly used to entering Wimbledon from a different entry site meant for players who are playing in the game. And he's mostly been to Wimbledon when he's playing in a tournament.
But he didn't know how to enter when he was not playing. But the security guard looked at him and said he would need a membership card to enter.
The security lady said:
So, Roger Federer asked security again, about where to get in. But the guard was unrelenting, she said, "The other side, but you have to be a member."
Then, Federer said he had to say something he would never say:
So did he finally get an entry? NOPE! No membership card, no entry!
Federer said he walked back to his car and went around the other entrance he knew. Finally, he was happy to see fans and security recognising him. And in the end, Federer got to drink his cup of tea at Wimbledon.
He added that even though he wanted to go around the other entry and wave to the security guard, he resisted doing it. He also started questioning whether he had won Wimbledon eight times, or if it was seven…
Netizens are laughing their guts out at this story, but they are also appreciating Federer's impeccable class act in respecting the security guard's job.
This why regardless of stats, Roger Federer, he is my GOAT.

Such a humble guy. Could have acted like a diva Karen and demanded the head of the Wimbledon security lady for doing her job, but he lived up to his demeanor and respected her directives. pic.twitter.com/X7AoidpHYX
