When the Indian team set out to bat against the West Indies in the finals of the World Cup in 1983, they had a planned target of around 240. But when the wickets started falling in quick succession, the team was all out at 183. Roger Binny, who was also the leading wicket taker in the tournament, revealed this in a Facebook live interview to Sportzkeeda. Binny said that when the team went back to the dressing room, there was pin-drop silence. To make the situation worse, the team had to wait 40 minutes for the overs they didn’t play, and that was getting on the nerves of the players. Nobody said anything, recalled Binny.
