Bigg Boss 9: Fireworks, pole dance and a screaming Diwali

The spirit of Diwali is all about the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. And such is the strength of this spirit that it managed to seep into the Bigg Boss house too, shunning away all the negativity, if only for a while, caused by the week's luxury budget task.

It started with the Double Trouble room where Digangana, Puneet and Mandana, sent by captain Rishabh, faced the challenge in lieu of the gifts sent by the families of all the contestants. As a result, since Puneet alone pressed the button, everyone got their Diwali gifts. There was lots of screaming in excitement and some shedding of tears too.

Next, Mr Bigg announced the next luxury budget task- Bigg Boss Got Talent. As part of this, the contestants were divided into two teams and competitions involved dance, acting, stand up comedy and music were issued. Prince and Mandana were the assigned judges for this task. But naturally, that too ended up inciting some fights.

As Rimi and Rochelle rehearsed for their dance off, Suyyash's involvement with Rimi's performance ticked off Rochelle, getting their respective team members in yet another heated exchange. Kishwer screamed, Rishabh interfered, Rochelle threatened to not participate and everyone else took sides. How original!

The task eventually began with the first round. Rochelle danced on Manali Trance in a pole dance-meets-belly dance like performance; Rimi utilised her Bollywood dancing experience to perform on Beedi Jalai Le, showing for the first time on the show both spunk and energy.

The next round was a skit by Team A including Aman, Digangana, Rochelle and Rishabh who enacted the Ticket to Finale prank played by Salman Khan on Rimi. Team B, including Kishwer, Suyyash, Rimi and Puneet performed Rishabh's dramatic entry scene into the Bigg Boss house.

The third round had Rishabh and Aman performing a stand-up act on the stand out traits of the house' contestants. And the final round saw Puneet and Suyyash who sang a song on this season so far and all the contestants.

It all concluded with the judges indulging in their own share of criticism and dissecting of each performance before announcing the results. Of course, the dissecting wasn't received with much enthusiasm. But nevertheless, the judges settled on a tie, bringing the task to its end and the actually celebrations to begin with music, dancing and fireworks.

In the Bigg Boss house, when even Diwali wasn't fully devoid of fights, what are the odds of things getting better going ahead? We think, none at all!
