Best deals on smartphones on Amazon and Flipkart's Diwali sales

Ahead of the festival of lights, major e-commerce players, Flipkart and Amazon are here with their Diwali sale. With an eye on the business opportunity that the festive days of Diwali bring with them, these e-commerce players have come out with sales that offer as much as 80 per cent off on products across a number of segments.

The latest round of sales start from 14 October and will continue till 17 October on both platforms. These come on the back of Flipkart's Big Billion Days and Amazon's Great India Festival started on September 20.

During the current sale, Flipkart is offering up to 10 per cent instant discount to customers making a purchase with their HDFC credit and debit cards. Additionally, the HDFC users will be able to avail no-cost EMI on shopping with their credit cards. Amazon, on the other hand, is giving 10 per cent cashback to SBI credit and debit cards holders.

With the competition heating up between the two, offers and deals are also getting more aggressive.

Here are the best deals on smartphones available across the two platforms.

Apple iPhone 7 32GB

The device is available at a hefty discount on Amazon and is available for a price of Rs 37,999 only.

This premium device comes with a 4.7 Retina 3D Touch display, a stunning 12-Megapixel rear camera and a decent 7MP front camera, 1960 mAh battery, 2GB RAM, 32GB memory. At such a discount, this deal is a no-brainer.

Arguably the biggest success story of the year, the OnePlus 5 is a phone that received largely positive reviews with most terming it a "flagship", not just a flagship killer.

Launched months after the 3t hit markets around the globe, OnePlus 5 has taken the smartphone industry by storm and represents a decent upgrade on a phone that is still regarded by many as one of the best in the market. It comes with several important upgrades over its predecessor.

The OnePlus 5 comes with Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line 64-bit Octa-core SoC – the Snapdragon 835. It is the chipmaker's current flagship and is found in phones such as Sony Xperia XZ, the US variant of the Samsung S8 and the recently launched HTC U11.

The device currently is available with Rs 4,000 off on exchange and a no cost EMI option.

Moto G5 Plus

This midrange winner is a very good phone for its Rs 16,999 price tag. However, during the sale, you can get it for as low as Rs 12,999 on Flipkart.

With a 5.2inch Full-HD display, a stripped-down stock Android 7.0 Nougat 32GB of internal memory — expandable memory up to 256GB — Motorola's latest offering is a wonderful package. The model's cameras are decent - a 12MP rear camera with an aperture of f/1.7 and dual-pixel autofocus and a 5MP front camera. If you want to spend the money, this is your best bet.

Redmi Note 4

The successor to the hugely popular Redmi Note 3 is powered by the Snapdragon 625 SoC. The phone also tries to woo new buyers with its mammoth 4,100mAh battery that powers the 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass Full HD display on the phone.

The smartphone with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM variant gets a price cut of Rs 2,000. The smartphone is now available at a price of Rs 10,999.
