Rs 2,000 strikes gold, thanks to Modi

Forget Bollywood blockbusters, every billion dollar club in the country got owned by Modi sarkar today. By banning Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, he has raided the black money galaxy like a stormtrooper, and we are not complaining.

The BJP has played the achhe din rap on loop since it came to power in May 2014, just as a generation of young Indians once played "I am a Barbie Girl, in my Barbie World", so it finally does look less and less like a jumla sarkar.

Mangalyaan covers the Rs 2000 note.

To its credit, the government has paid a rare tribute to India's prolific scientific community by putting the Mangalyan or India's Mars Orbiter Mission on the face of the soon-to-be-released Rs 2,000 note. This one's for the win, Modi sarkar.
