Can #CondomEmoji bring a smiley on safe sex campaign?
Since "emojis" are the new-age way to communicate and cut across class, ethnicity and social divides of all kinds, can the condom industry not reap its messaging benefits? Superbrand Durex is calling on everybody to mark the World AIDS Day (December 1) by urging the Unicode Consortium, which oversees the introduction of new emojis, to gift the planet a #CondomEmoji in their next revision and expansion.
Durex has launched this amazing video campaign to underline the importance of safe sex as well as promote the use of condoms among sexually active adults and also teenagers.
Durex says "an official safe sex emoji will enable young people to overcome embarrassment around the discussion of safe sex".

The #CondomEmoji, created by London-based designers Shynola, could, according to Durex, "encourage conversation and raise awareness of the importance of using condoms in protecting against sexually transmitted infections including HIV and AIDS".
Emojis have been setting the agenda of late, with Oxford English Dictionary picking the "face with tears of joy" emoji as the "word of the year" recently. Looks like emojis are the alphabet of a new super language.
