Mothers are legends, but desi moms are ultra legends. Every Indian can relate to this without any second thought. We all know dialogues of every Indian mother by heart because they are perfectly packed with sarcasm and are simply epic.

But the love of a mother is irreplaceable. She will do a million things for you without making you realise it. That’s the thing about mothers, they make us go aww with teary eyes within seconds.

Desi mothers will scold you for the most irrelevant things, but then make your favourite food for you. And just like that, she will do many things that we silently love.

As Mother’s Day is around the corner, we’ve listed some sweet gestures of desi mothers that we absolutely love. These will also give you reasons to make the Mother’s Day special for your mom.

1. CARE = FOOD

Mother’s love language is food. She will make you eat a little extra during every meal.

Not just at home, if you are living in some other city, state or even country, she will keep asking if you’ve eaten or not. And whenever you go home, you are supposed to gain a few kilos with all the laad and pyar. Also, while coming back, your bag will be loaded with homemade snacks and laddoos.

Mother’s love keeps flowing irrespective of the distance. Those living with family also experience the same thing. When you are outside, your mother will text you, “Khana kha liya ya nahi?

2. SHE KNOWS EVERYTHING

Whenever you are feeling low, your mother will know it without you saying a single word. Your voice, the way you speak or your facial expression is enough for her to make out that something is off.

It is an extremely emotional feeling when she comes and asks you: “kya hua?

Many times she will also cook your favourite food to lift your mood.

If you don’t have any friends or your friends have ditched you, you'll have your mother’s back.

She is always ready to go out for shopping, eating, spa day and everything else you want.

And the mothers come in handy in this situation. She will give you all the latest gossips from both your mother’s and father’s sides.

6. SHE KNOWS WHAT YOU NEED

If you need a new pair of socks or your favourite snack is about to finish, your mother knows it.

She will get you all the essentials even before you realise that you need them.

7. SHE IS A LIFESAVER

Mothers will help you seek permission for every possible thing.

So if you want your father’s permission for the Goa trip, your mother will help convince your father (only if she agrees in the first place).

8. STAYING UP TILL YOU ARE BACK HOME

You will always find your mother waiting for you back home whenever you come late from your office or a weekend party.
