'Motorkini' is breaking the internet today. Take that, French Taliban

France has had a rough year.

Terrorist attacks, rise of a very conservative right-wing amid internal pressure to clamp down on immigration and jihadists attacks. France responded to all these troubles by taking "tough, tough messures", imposing an Emergency and most recently, banning a new attire called "burkini" which Muslim women wear on beaches.

As is obvious, the burkini is a fusion of the burqa and the bikini. It is designed for Muslims who believe that Islam requires women to conceal everything except the face, hands and feet from all men who are not their husbands or unmarriageable kin.

In response to the ban, a significant part of the French community has protested against this, but the most innovative form of protest and a stunning show of solidarity came from two biker dudes.

These guys just dressed up in their biker outfits and chilled on the beach, soaking in the glorious sun (or whatever could get in through all that leather). The internet has found a name for it and is calling it the "motorkini".

Naturally, it is absolutely glorious.

France is saying they banned the burkini as it is "liable to offend the religious convictions or (religious) non-convictions of other users of the beach" and "be felt as a defiance or a provocation exacerbating tensions felt by" the community.

How does that even work?!!

But wait there's more:

The ban was "necessary, appropriate and proportionate" to prevent public disorder after a succession of jihadists attacks in France.

How can not letting Muslim women enjoy a day on the beach wearing clothes they feel comfortable in going reduce jihadist attacks?!

Beats us.
