Donald Trump took a potshot at Heidi Klum. What the former supermodel did next will leave you stunned

The Donald has struck again and but this time around, there has been a strike back. After the Republican presidential aspirant, the "operatic" billionaire Donald Trump, told The New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd that (supermodel) Heidi Klum was no longer a "10", the spunky fashionista took down the political bull in the presidential race china shop in a remarkable Twitter response, with a video to boot. Trump had been in the news for hitting out against many a woman in the run-up to the presidential debates, including the Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, who he said "had blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever".

Soon it was Heidi Klum's turn when the Republican "Grumpy Cat", with a penchant for rating women on a scale of 1 to 10, said this to Maureen Dowd: "Sometimes I do go a little bit far ... Heidi Klum. Sadly, she's no longer a 10."

Dowd was profiling Trump for the NYT, where she notes the Playboy-flaunting "narcissist's" casual aside on Klum.

But Klum wasn't going to go down without a fight. She promptly put up a vivacious all-hashtag tweet complete with this sprightly video which shows her shrugging off Trump's rating with élan.

Klum also spoke out in an interview against Trump's now legendary misogyny which Dowd thinks inserts the "showman in the show".
