And the Bharat Mata ki jai National(ist) Film awards go to...

There is no denying the National Film Awards were a tough call this year. Amitabh Bachchan won for showing us Indians the importance of being earnest - to pee - and Baahubali was rewarded for creating the gladiators we have been looking for since Mahabharata.

However, some breakthrough performances could not be honoured because, you know, Bharat Mata was not the judge.

Alas, if you thought constipated performances took... er... the cake, this will leave you with a lump (in your throat).
