Still shaking? How Pakistan felt the October 26 earthquake

Footage shows a catastrophic landslide sparked by the deadly earthquake that killed at least 180 people in South Asia this morning.

The 7.6-magnitude quake triggered a landslide in mountainous region of Gilgit in northern Pakistan.

The epicentre was in northern Afghanistan, but tremors were felt across the region including in Pakistan and India.

Reports confirm scores have died and hundreds are injured.

At least 12 schoolgirls crushed to death as they tried to flee the disaster in Afghanistan, and a further 60 people have died in Pakistan.

Sources on the ground in Peshawar told The Daily Mirror the death toll could reach thousands, with 50 injured people overwhelming one local hospital alone.

Most of those affected were suffering crush injuries from buildings collapsing.

The quake was 132 miles deep and centred 158 miles northeast of Kabul in a remote area of Afghanistan in the Hindu Kush mountain range. Read more here.
