Shocking: Balika Vadhu actress Pratyusha Banerjee commits suicide

Actress Pratyusha Banerjee who rose to fame with popular TV serial Balika Vadhu on Friday committed suicide, according to Mumbai police. She was also seen in Big Boss. She was admitted to Kokilaben hospital. The 24-year-old actress reportedly hung herself at her residence.

She was also part of shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5, Bigg Boss 7, Comedy Classes and many more.

Pratyusha allegedly took this drastic step owing to issues in her personal life. She was in a relationship with fellow actor Rahul Raj Singh and they were planning to get married soon. However, trouble reportedly brewed between them which led Pratyusha to take this extreme step.

Pratyusha became immensely popular after she played the role of Anandi in Balika Vadhu. Later, she quit the show and participated in Bigg Boss 7. She was recently seen in Sasural Simar Ka on Colors.

Earlier in January, Pratyusha had alleged that four policemen had entered her Mumbai residence and molested her.
