How Ranveer Singh proved he is Bollywood's biggest entertainer on the sets of 'Bigg Boss'

He came, he saw and he conquered.

Newly-wed actor Ranveer Singh gave Bigg Boss 12 what the show had been missing all this while — unlimited entertainment.

On the sets of Bigg Boss to promote his upcoming film Simmba, Ranveer made quite a statement with his star power, even though he was at his modest best, laughing — and letting people laugh at him.

Ranveer was accompanied by the female lead of Simmba, Sara Ali Khan, and film director Rohit Shetty. But Weekend Ka Vaar — which is hosted by superstar Salman Khan — was completely overshadowed by Ranveer.

And overshadowing Salman as a host of Bigg Boss task is no mean task. Most top Bollywood actors fail to even match up.

Team Simmba went inside the house to meet the contestants and it has to be said that Ranveer infused new life in the contenders who had started to look pretty exhausted in the penultimate week of the show.

Ranveer is such a bundle of electrifying energy that he lit up both the sets and the spirits of the contestants.

Inside the house, while Sara danced and entertained the audience along with the contestants, Ranveer scored over everyone else just by being himself.

He wasn’t seen patronising the contestants with 'tips' (like what all outsiders coming into the house do), nor was he there to point at their flaws. It didn’t even look like he was making any effort to entertain people, he seemed only there to have a good time.

It is believed that when an artiste enjoys his work, the outcome is sure to be enjoyed by the audience. If one wants to learn how to do it, dial Ranveer Singh.

The best part, however, was how Ranveer took the jokes being cracked on him, his dress sense and his equation with film-maker Karan Johar.

A part of the show, which ran through Saturday and Sunday, saw Ranveer pretend to be talking to his wife and Bollywood heartthrob Deepika Padukone, who wanted to know if Ranveer wore her lehnga.

Ranveer handled the ‘pretend call’ confidently and smartly — serving a body blow to gender stereotypes of all sorts.

Inside the house, he hugged and kissed the contestants as if he was one of them and had known them for a long time.

Many top celebrities have visited the Bigg Boss house in this edition of the show, including the Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, himself.

But Shah Rukh didn’t enter the house and stayed on the sets with Salman Khan to promote his film Zero. Actors Preity Zinta, Rani Mukerji and Govinda too have been on the Bigg Boss show — but it took Ranveer to lend the entertainment that stars are expected to bring to the show.

While most stars dedicated time to talking about their upcoming films, Ranveer was just having a good time. This might give people more reasons to watch his film rather than him saying, “Please go watch my film.”

If he could keep the audience’s eyes hooked onto him for most part of the show, competing for attention with Salman, Sara Ali and Rohit Shetty, he sure has given people reasons to go watch Simmba too.

More power to Ranveer Singh.
