The Enforcement Directorate has reportedly handed over the findings of Rhea's drug deals to the CBI.
You can forgive someone who hasn’t apologised to you or ask God to forgive them “for they know not what they do”. But how do you forgive someone who doesn’t care about being forgiven? “Forgive him anyway,” is what Attorney General KK Venugopal has told Supreme Court in the contempt of court case against Supreme Court advocate Prashant Bhushan.
Why should the SC do it? “Because it will be appreciated by the Bar,” Venugopal told the court. Even if the Bar appreciates forgiveness (without apology), bars are not likely to open under Unlock 4.0. What can still open are Metro services. Schools and colleges, however, are unlikely to open.
While educational institutions remain shut, debates over the entrance exam to professional institutes is open for all. The latest to join the open debate is Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg. Thunberg finds it unfair that students of India “are asked to sit national exams (sic)”. Greta is an environment and climate change activist, if she added global student activism to her profile, she has not communicated it.

What actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend Sandip Singh communicated to media has now brought him under the lens in a case where everybody is already under the lens. Sandip was one of the first to reach Sushant’s house after the news of his death broke and was also present at Cooper Hospital where Sushant’s autopsy took place. But call records show that Sandip had not called Sushant even once in the last one year. You may not call your friends daily and with some, you may not call them for years. But yes, if something happens with them or to them, you will still remain a friend. Was Sandip that friend or no friend at all? That is an angle CBI can probe apart from all the other angles it is already probing.
Of the many angles under probe is the involvement of Rhea Chakraborty. Probe into this angle has led Enforcement Directorate (ED) to proof of another angle — Rhea’s drug dealings. The ED has reportedly handed over the findings of this angle to CBI, and it is now for CBI to probe deeper into this and the other leads it has.
Everybody likes a good mystery and if there is no mystery at hand to like, you can always create one. Sushant’s case is a case in point but actor Saif Ali Khan has decided he won’t keep any mysteries and come out with a tell-all book — his autobiography. The autobiography will be out in 2021. Saif is expected to talk about his family, career, highs, lows and everything in between in the book. But we want to talk about autobiography — the word.
Autobiography, the Word Of The Day, has a Greek origin. To get to the root, we will have to break it into three, autos meaning self; bios meaning life; and graphein meaning to write. When one writes about oneself, one is writing an autobiography. When someone else writes about that one person, it’s a biography. A lot of people get their autobiographies written because they have a story, but not the writing skills and wills. What comes out is still an autobiography, which is ghostwritten.
But the question is how a is memoir different from an autobiography because both are written by that one person, who can be any person, as you know.
A memoir is a collection of personal memories related to specific moments or experiences in the author’s life. The autobiography begins from the beginning. Someone people track the beginning a couple of generations back like to their dada and pardada.
Recently, Saif claimed that he was a victim of nepotism himself. You may find the why and how of that statement in the book. But you can also find the details of the saas-bahu saga that unravelled in his house when he married Amrita Singh. Amrita was apparently treated so badly by mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore, that she used to feel stressed and had even asked Saif to not leave her alone in a room when Sharmila was around. That’s not alone you might say, but then you do get what we mean.
Amrita said this in an interview after she parted ways with Saif. In another interview, Saif said the reason for the split between the two was that he could no longer take Amrita abusing his sisters (Soha and Saba) and mother Sharmila. That wouldn’t have been a ‘lalalala’ situation for Saif to be in because everyone likes to question rasode mai kaun tha, but nobody wants to answer it.

It all began well when Lahren said Trump was wise as an owl. Then she tried to appeal to the Indian community because why should Kamala Harris have all the fun? Lahren then likened Trump to an ullu. There is a whole world of difference between being wise like an owl in America and being an ullu in India.
