Best deals to get on Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Paytm and Shopclues festival sales
With the festive season approaching, the biggest players have stepped into the ring to win over the fast-growing e-commerce market. With great offers and discounts being offered across the board, this is a great time for consumers looking to buy household appliances, smartphones, and other gadgets in the coming days.
Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Paytm Mall and Shopclues have announced sales that promise great savings on mobile phones and a range of other popular products across multiple segments as part of their annual flagship sales.
For the first time, Amazon's "Great Indian Festival" (September 21-24), Flipkart's "Big Billion Days Sale" (September 20-24), Snapdeal's "Unbox Diwali Sale" (September 20-25) Paytm's "Mera Mall Mera Cashback" (September 20-23) and Shopclues "Maha Bharat Diwali Sale" will be involved in a never-before-seen five-way direct fight to provide the best discounts to consumers.
What's even better is that these sales, starting on the same day – Amazon's Great Indian Festival also went live for Prime users on September 20 – won't end anytime soon, thus giving consumers ample time to make well thought out decisions.

Amazon's Great Indian Festival
Amazon India's "The Great Indian Festival" has something for everyone. With offers on gadgets, fashion, large appliances and other segments, Amazon is looking to give competition to Flipkart's flagship sale and also fend off competition from Snapdeal and the new kid on the block, Paytm. With the ongoing sale, the e-commerce giant is not only looking to bring in new customers but also plans to reward its existing ones with perks.
Amazon Prime members are being given early access to some of the top deals, along with 10 per cent cashback, subject to a maximum cashback of Rs 4,500 per card on a minimum order of Rs 5,000 for HDFC credit and debit cards holders.
Coming to the deals, there is up to 40 per cent discount on popular mobile phones from brands like Apple, Samsung, Oneplus, Xiaomi. There are some exclusive launches on the horizon, with Amazon partnering with Xiaomi to bring out the Mi Max 2 (32 GB) during the sale. Home appliances like washing machines, air conditioners and refrigerators are being offered at deep discounts too.
Televisions are also on sale for as much as 40 per cent off during Amazon's Great Indian Festival.
Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale
India's other major e-commerce player, Flipkart has also planned aggressive offers to win a market that is expected to swell to $120 billion in sales by 2020.
Flipkart's flagship sale, which gets a head start on Amazon, comes with instant discount offers for users of SBI credit or debit cards.
Discounts are being offered on products under different categories – home appliances, mobile phones and lifestyle products. However, the biggest offers are on smartphones, with the Galaxy S7 selling at Rs 29,990 as against its launch price of Rs 48,900. The Huawei P9 is also on offer at Rs 19,999 against its launch price of Rs 39,999.
Coming to large home appliances, Flipkart's sale is bringing with it high-end Samsung TVs that are available at a 26 per cent discount, while LG TVs can be bought at up to 40 per cent off.
Paytm Mera Mall Mera cashback sale
Paytm, which took on competitors with its aggressive deals during the Paytm Pre-GST Sale and "Independence Day Sale", is back again to win over users with Paytm Mall. Its four-day long sale is coming with discounts and cashback offers on a wide range of products - from laptops, smartphones, home appliances to apparel and accessories. Paytm Mall will attempt to make further inroads into the booming e-commerce sector.
Much like its previous sales, the biggest offers again are on smartphones, with highlights being deals on iPhone 7 and Google Pixel.
The iPhone 7 32GB variant is available for Rs 48,544, plus Rs 8,000 in cashback, while the 128GB variant is available at a 22 per cent discount and Rs 10,000 in cashback. Laptops, including Lenovo's Ideapad and MacBook Air, are also available on great discounts and cashback offers.
Snapdeal Unbox Diwali Sale
E-commerce player Snapdeal, backed by Softbank's Yen, is looking to crawl its way back into the industry's elite. Though the discounts are not as great as those offered by Amazon and Flipkart, or as innovative as Paytm's cashback promise, shoppers using Axis Bank debit or credit cards will still find the sale interesting as the portal is offering a 10 per cent cashback on most items.
What can also work in the Gurgaon based e-commerce player's favour is that its sale will run beyond the dates specified by Amazon and Flipkart, thus giving it a greater chance make the most of its offers.
