*Drum roll*

We present you the coolest penguin in the history of the world. (Well, may be second to Pingu, the big boy with the "happy feet")

*drum roll continues*

Sir Nils Olav!

Sir Nils is a just an awesome penguin who has been now promoted to the post of a brigadier.

Here's the lowdown: Sir Nils is an old dude (by penguin years, of course) who has been an honourary member of the Norwegian King's Guard, though he has been chilling, literally, at the Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland for quite a while.

Sir Nils Olav was knighted in 2008.

His job?

Sir Nils "inspects" soldiers when they visit the Scottish capital. Logistically, this is a wee bit of a mess for us mere human mortals, but not for Brigadier Sir Nils. He is a big deal therefore His promotion ceremony was attended by more than 50 Norwegian soldiers of "his unit".

During the ceremony, Sir Nils paraded along Edinburgh zoo's fabled "penguin walk" and inspected the guards who were there to honour him.

Classic Sir Nils, the swashbuckling bigradier.

You can watch the full video here and pay your respects to this legendary soldier and think about what you, a human being, have achieved in your life.
