Navratri celebrates the victory of good over evil through the goddess Durga. It involves fasting, where individuals abstain from regular foods to attain spiritual purity and protection from negativity.

Makhana, also known as fox nuts, is a popular snack consumed during Navratri, and it helps boost immunity during fasting.
