Scientists have found that Altiplano of Atacama Desert in Chile is the sunniest place on Earth, which makes the landscape as hellish as Venus, without the crushing atmosphere.

Also known as "gateway to hell", Danakil Depression is another place that closely resembles the surface of Venus (at least whatever we can get on Earth).

Some parts of the rocky interior region in Iceland have been found to resemble the geography of Mars. NASA also tests its Mars missions here.

This dormant volcano is said to resemble a lunar crater. NASA also tests space rovers for Moon missions on a spot on the lower slope of Mauna Kea.

This place on Earth is dangerous to get lost in and does feel like another planet. NASA tested its Curiosity Rover here before landing on Mars in 2012.

This technicolour wonder was created in 1967 by a geothermal company which wanted to access the hot water below. But it wasn't hot enough & the company failed to properly seal the site up.
