Alisher Navoiy is a station on the Tashkent Metro, on the O'zbekistan line in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The architecture of this underground station is breathtaking.

Rädhuset Station in Stockholm, Sweden, is carved straight from the bedrock beneath the city.  This station opened in 1975.

Formosa Boulevard Station is in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The Dome of Light is designed by Narcissus Quagliata, and it is the largest work of glass art in the world.

The shining and multicoloured Toledo station in Naples, Italy opened in 2012. It was designed by Oscar Tusquets Blanca.

Arts Et Métiers underground station in Paris, France, was designed by François Schuiten in 1994. The style was inspired by science fiction writer Jules Verne's works.

San Giovanni is an underground interchange station on the Rome Metro, Italy. It is a museum station and has ancient artefacts on display.

Baker Street Station in London, England dates back to the creation  of the Metropolitan Railway. It opened in 1863, the world's first underground railway network.

Zoloti Vorota is a station on the Kyiv Metro in Kyiv, Ukraine. It opened in 1989. The name means 'Golden Gate', and refers to the main gate of Kyiv's medieval fortifications.

A very elegant station, Komsomolskaya is a Moscow Metro station in Russia. Its architects Pavel Korin & Alexey Schusev received the State Stalin Prize for this.
