5 ways to spoil your BFFs without emptying your wallet

Do you want to really hang out with your friends but somewhere in the back of your head you are kinda hesitating to meet them up? You know that if you go out, you could end up spending more than your budget permits you at the moment. So you are looking to hold back spending for a few days and looking for excuses that won't hurt their feelings and would also save your budget from being shredded to pieces.

Well, here are 5 things you can do to hang out with them without spoiling your budget:

1. Dinner parties/ potluck dinner parties

Don't want to go all out for a fancy dinner? Well, bring them all in! Why don't you host your friends a dinner party at home and ask each of them to get a dish to share? Or maybe you could learn to cook together by watching Youtube videos and have fun while enjoying the food irrespective of how it turns out. I am sure that making garlic bread, pasta, noodles, and sandwiches isn't really a rocket science since we end up watching most of these food videos on Instagram all the time.

You could also look up for healthy salads and chaat parties and have a fun cake bake-off contest to enjoy quality time together. Also, if you want to feel fancy, you could learn how to make your table look fancy and create a theme decor if time permits (just like Leonard and Sheldon have a themed night in Big Bang Theory).

Now, if the food doesn't really turn out to be eatable, well, make a contest out of it and find a way to make it memorable.

2. Teach your pets some tricks

Spending time with your friends and having them play with your pets is quite an entertaining way to spend time, especially if your pets are cute and adorable and if your friends don't have pets.

You could attempt to teach your pets some basic tricks like 'sit', 'stand' or ''follow me''. If your pet is too advanced, record fun videos of playing tricks on them or try to guess what they are saying. You can also play dead to see their reactions.

3. Game nights

Game nights can be fun. Have fun the Big Bang Theory way by hosting game nights and asking everyone to get their favorite board games or quiz books. Layout a couple of playing tables and there you have it!

If you don't own board games or quiz books, you could rent them out from places like Diehard Board Games which will help you save money. Also, there is always a risk of buying a game and either not liking it enough or keeping it in a space to let dust pile up on it, or not having enough people to play it with. There are a lot of fun and collaborative board games available in today's times unlike before when Snakes and Ladders and Ludo were the only ones available.

4. Have a spa night

Yes, salon appointments could be a tad expensive for you or your BFFs and since you want to have fun with them, why not create a spa experience at home. Order some beauty face masks, beauty kits, and nail paints, nail changing kits and on the day of the SPA night, put them all together. Play your favorite music, light some candles, and take turns painting each other's nails or being your BFFs beauty expert. Though it may sound childish, it is a fun way to catch up. Meanwhile, sing along to karaoke or those school prayer songs that you hated back then.

5. Have a series/ movie marathon

If your friends love watching movies, this is the best way to hang out and have fun. I remember going to my friend's place for Hrithik Roshan movie marathon sessions where we would just binge-watch his movies like - Dhoom, Dhoom 2, Jodha Akbar, Koi Mil Gaya etc. As we grew up, the fun was in fast-forwarding unnecessary songs and finding faults in the movie's plot rather than watching them for admiration. We would also find great solace in watching random South Indian movies without any volume. Then each of us would take responsibility for a character and try to guess their dialogues, thus creating our own plot of the scene. (This would be followed by inquisitive neighbors who would wonder why everyone at my friend's place is ROFL)

Got any better ways to spoil your BFFs?
