What's eating Bigg Boss and Salman Khan?

In a typical classroom, there are all kinds of students. Some are front-benchers answering every question asked by the teacher with great gusto; some happily sit at the back, not caring a damn about anyone. There are also some who are stuck in between, those who want to make an impression but just don't know how. Those are the sorts who always struggle the must. The Bigg Boss house, just like a classroom, too has all kinds of contestants. Those who struggle to make an impression here are politely evicted by the controversy-hungry audience week after week.

Falling prey this week was Arvind Vegda, the Gujarati rapper who was fairly inconsequential throughout his three-week stint in Bigg Boss. Yes, he entered with much excitement and yes, he did snore his way to everyone's bad books but that clearly wasn't enough. He didn't do much or anything in the tasks, chose to care for everyone's inconvenience when it comes to his snoring (This is Bigg Boss, Arvind and you're not supposed to be so nice, you see!) and quietly observed everyone without making any fuss whatsoever. If all this wouldn't have guaranteed his eviction when in competition with other, more popular candidates such as Rimi and Aman, then we don't know what else would have!

This was perhaps what's been troubling the show's makers as well as host Salman Khan. No wonder then that Bhai spent a major chunk of Sunday's episode trying to correct the contestants' attitudes - he showed them the tweets of the unhappy audience, discussed it with friends and family of the contestants and gave his two-bit gyaan to everyone present.

Among all this was another elimination, that of Vikas Bhalla. He's another contestant who's been visibly boring all this while. His eviction too makes it clear that the audience doesn't care for those who bore them to sleep. And neither does Mr Bigg.

Low TRPs, bored viewers or a lacklustre list of contestants, whatever may the reason, Bigg Boss is clearly not happy. And through Salman, he's made it evident his disappointment.

With a whole bunch of wild-card entries lined up in the next week, will the contestants finally bucker up and get serious? We'll find out soon!
