Game of Thrones Season 7: Who all I feel will die this season

If there is one TV show that elicits more nerdgasms than even The Flash, it is Game of Thrones. Every season spins a new web of intrigue and even those of us who have read the books have been pretty clueless since the show went off the books after season 5. But it isn't too hard to predict who will die this year.

To begin with, this season will be bad for siblings with our favourite incestuous blondes, Cersei and Jamie, as well as the murderous monster brothers Gregor and Sandor Clegane all likely to bid adieu.

It is also likely that in a dramatic twist in a battle north of the wall, one of the dragons would be killed and turned into an undead creature by the wights. But let's examine these possibilities one by one.

Cersei and Jamie: This one is rather obvious. According to Maggy the Frog's prophecy, Cersei would not marry a prince, but a King. She was to marry Prince Rhaegar but ended up marrying King Robert. This prophecy also said that she would have three children but none of them would be her husband's. Also, that all her children would die. Joffrey, Myrcella and Tomen are all dead.

Queen Cersei will die at the hands of valonqar.

Maggy said Cersei would be Queen but soon a younger more beautiful Queen would replace her. And finally she would die at the hands of valonqar (high Valerian for "little brother").

Given how everything else has come true, it is only a matter of time that Cersei loses the Iron Throne to Daenerys after an epic Battle of the Blondes. It is possible that she will be driven mad with rage and grief and her brother Jamie will put her out of her misery. Jaime and Cersei are destined to live and die together, so it is possible that he will die shortly after killing her. Given how he has been gradually redeemed and is slowly turning into one of the good guys, he is likely to get an honourable send off.

The Mountain and the Hound: Fans have been hoping for what is being called Clegan bowl for years now. This will be an epic battle where brother fights brother to death. The ill- tempered and cruel Gregor Clegane who was previously known as The Mountain, now goes by his new name Ser Robert Strong in his juiced-up avatar as Queen Cersei s fiercely protective bodyguard.

But with Cersei's reign likely to come to an end this season, chances are the Mountain will meet his maker too, most likely at the hands of his brother Sandor Clegane aka The Hound, who has been redeemed and reformed over the course of the last two seasons.

Death is certain for a Clegane.

The brothers have been rivals ever since they were children and Gregor had burned Sandor's face. But given that they are both equally matched, it is likely both will die.

Melisandre: The terrifying Red Priestess is already a thousand years old and deserves no mercy. She is likely to die at the hands of Ser Davos Seaworth who will kill her to avenge Princess Shireen who was burnt alive at Melisandre's insistence.

Red Priestess must die.

We know her youth and strength comes from her ruby necklace. It is likely that she will be killed when she is not wearing it. I say good riddance!

Littlefinger: I've been waiting for this manipulative coward to die for a long time. It was he who led to some of the most catastrophic events in Game of Thrones from Ned Stark's death to Cersei's imprisonment by the High Sparrow.

Death by Sansa, hopefully.

He has been pawning Sansa as though she were a commodity and offering her hand in marriage to everyone from Robin Arryn to the sadist Ramsay Bolton. I hope he dies at Sansa's hand.

Jon Snow and Beric Dondarrion: There is an epic battle that will be fought north of the wall this season. This has been teased as much by images in the season 7 trailer where Jon Snow and his men from the Night's watch as well as a few other allies face an army of White Walkers as wights crawl up the cliff-face. Beric Dondarrion can be seen wielding a flaming sword in this battle.

But what is the purpose of putting this character in this battle? We know that Beric has died and been resurrected six times so far by a Red Priest named Thoros of Myr.

How many times will Jon Snow die?

He also has the power of the kiss of life that can bring the dead back to life. This means that another important warrior in the same battle (most likely Jon Snow) will die, but Beric will give him the kiss of life and die instead of him. Jon will be safely removed from the battlefield after his second resurrection.

One Dragon: The insane amount of fire in the background during the battle beyond the wall points to the presence of a dragon. It is possible that Daenerys and her dragons fly to the aid of Jon Snow and his men as they fight the White Walkers.

Another sacrifice for the Mother of Dragons?

It is possible one of the dragons could get mortally injured in this battle and then the White Walkers will turn him into an undead wight ice-dragon. This is in sync with the whole Ice and Fire theme. Plus an ice dragon would be a nice addition to the wildlife beyond the wall that includes zombie horses and giant ice spiders.

A few good guys: No season is complete without one of the good guys dying. My money is on Ser Jorah Mormont. He is already suffering from the incurable Dragon-scale disease. It is possible he will die protecting his beloved Queen Daenerys. Also one of the Greyjoy kids is likely to die fighting their uncle Euron. I hope it's Theon who dies, because the charismatic Yara deserves to rule the Iron Islands.

Season 7 may see the end of Ser Jorah.

But then again, nobody can read George RR Martin's mind and the show runners DB Weiss and David Benioff are famous for shocking the audience with unpredictable twists. So we will have to wait and watch.
