Jai mata di: An ode to sabsey achhe din of Vedic age

  • Pity the Vedic days didn't last,
  • The Brahmins had such a blast.
  • Upper castes too did have a dream,
  • But the Brahmins got the cream.
  •
  • We ate all we wanted,
  • Even beef, which we flaunted.
  • Even lower castes ate meat,
  • Nowadays quite a feat.
  •
  • The Brahmins made the rules,
  • But spared us, not being fools.
  • Upper castes lived the best,
  • While outcastes lived off the rest.
  •
  • Now clothes maketh the man,
  • Who roars like a lion can.
  • Memories of everlasting leaders,
  • Have hardly any readers.
  •
  • Move aside all other PMs,
  • And even Delhi CMs.
  • There's a new Raja, loud and alive,
  • Under whose million promises all will thrive.
  •
  • It's a new dawn, a new day.
  • Have zillions of vows come to stay?
  • Classes, castes all step aside,
  • Now the 56 inch chest will ride.
