3 reasons you should not follow celebrity workout programmes

It is so common for all of us to see a Bollywood celebrity transforming himself/herself in weeks inspiring all of us to follow the suit. From Farhan Akhtar of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2014) to Kareena Kapoor Khan of Tashan (2008), these celebrities make transformation look all too easy.

After the release of their movies where they flaunt their newly acquired chiseled bodies, what follows next is the release of their fitness-training programme, which is what made it possible for them to achieve the kind of body they wanted for the character. I have been an ardent follower of such celebrity training programmes and have carefully observed and even tried these programmes and here is what I have learnt.

Celebrity training programmes make a good read but don't do anything for our body. Simply because our body type and lifestyle is very different compare to these actors!

Hence I would urge you not to follow any training programmes, let me give you three key reasons:

1. Marketing gimmicks

Most of the training programs celebs introduce are mere marketing gimmicks targeted to generate eyeballs. Let's be very clear the business of showbiz is all about staying in the limelight, these training programmes is one such way for celebs to grab that limelight.

2. All lies

If you think celebs will actually share their fitness secrets on camera, you are being naive. What they will share is what we already know, for example drink loads of water, add fruits to your diet, train for 40 minutes, five times a week. Where is the secret? There is no secret, because they will never share the truth or what they went through to acquire that body.

3. It's temporary

Whatever body we see on celluloid is a result of extensive hard work but it is only being done for one particular scene. After that scene has been shot, they get back to their usual routine with a very average body. Point is whatever we see in movies is very temporary, from Aamir Khan of Ghajini to Hrithik Roshan of Krrish, these beautiful bodies are made for only one day of shoot.

My humble request to all of you is to only read these training programmes but don't blindly follow them.
