Hillary Clinton concedes America to Donald Trump in a fine, emotional speech

In a fine and gracious speech, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton finally conceded the 2016 US elections to her Republican rival Donald Trump, after losing the Electoral College to the GOP nominee. The public concession speech comes after the Democratic nominee made a late night phone call to Trump in order to congratulate him on winning the presidential race. However, when on late November 8 night Clinton had declined to address the nation and accept defeat, it had got tongues wagging.

Clinton was introduced by her running mate, Tim Kaine, who would continue his work from the state of Virginia, and whom Clinton had picked with acre and caution. Kaine praised Clinton's “amazing” accomplishments before requesting her to deliver the concession speech.

Hillary Clinton looked spent but stately. She not only stressed on the democratic values that Americans hold dear, but also insisted on the peaceful transition of power to the 45th president of the United States of America. She said America owes Donald Trump an "open mind" for him to prove his electoral victory, hitting every single note that everyone would have wanted to her to hover on.

During his victory speech, Trump said Americans “owe a debt of gratitude” to Clinton for her years of public service. As of Wednesday morning, he had secured 276 electoral votes with key states yet to be called.

She made her hat tip to her Democrat supporters and party workers, who helped her selflessly in helping create a powerful campaign aimed at making America inclusive again. She also thanked Barack and Michelle Obama for their fantastic stint as the POTUS and FLOTUS, and also for their unequivocal endorsement of her candidacy.

It was a good speech, which showed her grit and steely resolve to fight it out till the end, to show that an electoral campaign doesn't end with the election results only. She talked of her political successes and setbacks and said the her fellow Americans must never stop believing that fighting for their rights is key to the country's politics and narrative.

She made a specific comment on the young women of America, who had put their faith in her. It was an emotional but resolute pitch when she said that the "glass-ceiling would be shattered by someone sooner than theyw ould think".

She signed off saying that she's deeply grateful to America as a nation, and if they fight for it together, their best days are still ahead. It's always "stronger together", and "time to have faith in each other for there are more seasons to come".
