5 things to look forward to in Baahubali: The Conclusion

The first teaser of Baahubali: The Conclusion is likely to release later this year, around Diwali, with the film itself hitting screens in April 2017. Too long a wait to know why Katappa killed Baahubali? Well, it'll all be worth it since the sequel to the magnum opus, Baahubali: The Beginning is touted to be everything that will wow the audience all over again, with even more ammo and style.

1. Shriya Saran joins the list of powerful women in the sequel to Baahubali: The Beginning. Besides Ramya Krishna, Tamanaah Bhatia and Anushka Shetty, Shriya Saran too will be playing a crucial role.

We've seen the baddie, Bhallaladeva, taming the humungous bull, bulging his huge biceps and thundering down a chariot into the battlefield. And now we will see his wife too.

2. While she appeared briefly in part one, Anushka Shetty's role is said to be rather powerful and poignant in the sequel. We hear she has put in quite a lot of effort into playing her character with aplomb. And acing sword fighting and horse riding are just a couple of things we are talking here.

Wielding the sword or playing a pregnant woman with immense grace, when Anushka Shetty takes on something, we know we won't come away less than impressed.

3. The graphics and special effects are even more visually rich in the second part, we hear. Like that's even possible after the visual extravaganza we were treated to in Baahubali: The Beginning. But with SS Rajamouli and his team, anything seems possible.

Several international technicians and designers will work on creating the most stunning visual effects for the film, from months before its release.

4. The imagery and aesthetics of Baahubali: The Conclusion will be like no other Indian film has seen. Some of the war scenes are said to have been shot at the picturesque Kannavam forest in Kerala.

The wilderness and beauty of these jungles is only comparable to the majestic Athirappily waterfalls of Kerala that we saw in part one. The beautiful Kannur fort was picked for a sequence or two as well.

5. The action scenes and fight choreography are even more gripping, apparently. Some fight sequences are also inspired from the Oscar-winning The Revenant, we hear. Now, that's infusing a truly international feel to the biggest India film, any which way you look.
