Why the Kanpur man refused to get off his bike while it was being towed
Standing one’s ground is an admirable trait. It speaks a lot about one’s character and resolution and will. Sadly enough, that metaphor is one that can’t be stretched to sitting on one’s bike. The latter is, however, the more entertaining one, by a long shot.
While Uttar Pradesh has been busy holding its breath in anticipation of the Assembly poll results, one man in Kanpur had been following the unofficial civic duty of an Indian by parking his vehicle at a no-parking zone. And it’s not often that one faces the consequences of such a thing; usually when punished, people either comply or go for the second most essential unofficial civic duty of an Indian – bribery.

But our man here is an exception. And what an unprecedented exception he has been. In a bizarre turn of events, when the man’s bike was being towed away, our hero refused to get down. ANI reported a video of this unnamed hero riding away, sitting on his bike (chained to a tow-truck) in all glory.

You have to hand it to the traffic police in the Bada Chauraha area of Kanpur too. They did not let the resolute man stand in the way of doing their job.
