Zahir Zakaria

Zahir Zakaria is a freelance writer, blogger and debater based in Silchar Assam. He is a gold medalist in Mass Communication from Assam University. Politics, social media and current affairs are his areas of interest. He has been a journalist with several leading publications including The Telegraph (Guwahati), Eastern Chronicle and has also earned bylines with The Sentinel and India Today magazine. An avid reader of Tharoor, he considers himself the greatest admirer of the late Khushwant Singh and believes that the “fundoos” (as Khushwant Singh referred to fundamentalists) of any creed, are the biggest threat to India’s national fabric.
