Dunki trailer: Shah Rukh Khan & Co will escape to London, with or without English

The much-anticipated trailer of Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki has arrived and it has lived up to the buzz. The trailer was shared by Shah Rukh Khan on his X handle (formerly Twitter).

The actor wrote, “Yeh kahani maine shuru ki thi, Laltu se! Isey khatam bhi main hi karunga... apne Ullu de patthon ke saath. Dunki's trailer will show you a journey that began with Raju Sir's vision. It will take you through a madcap ride of friendship, the comedy and tragedy that life is and a nostalgia for home & family.”

The story of five friends 

• The trailer shows Shah Rukh Khan (Hardy) striking a friendship with four other people, Vicky Kaushal (Sukhi), Tapsee Pannu (Manu), Vikram Kochar (Buggu), and Anil Grover (Balli). The group of five shares a common goal of escaping to London to realise their dreams.
• But there's a big obstacle in front of all of them: English. The group tries to learn English from Boman Irani, who is the tutor, but it goes hilariously wrong for them.
• However, their troubles don’t seem to end as they encounter several obstacles during their journey to London.
• Since Dunki is based on the story of ordinary people from Haryana and Punjab who escape to London and the US through illegal means, Shah Rukh Khan and group also use illegal means to reach London by hook or crook. And that is where things go wrong for them.
• Since Rajkumar Hirani’s movies are a blend of laughter and emotions, Dunki too is expected to show different aspects of a human being as it faces different circumstances in life.

Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan’s first collaboration

• The fans are eagerly waiting for the movie also because this would be the first time Shah Rukh has teamed up with master storyteller Rajkumar Hirani.
• The project was announced by the star nearly two years back, and it had generated massive hype around the movie.
• Shah Rukh Khan has already delivered two blockbusters this year with Jawan and Pathaan. If Dunki hits the right note, it would be a hat-trick of blockbusters in 2023 for Khan.

Dunki will hit the theaters on December 21, 2023.
