Former Riverdale show actor, Ryan Grantham who played the role of Jeffery Augustine, admitted to killing his mother. If that wasn’t surprising enough, it has also been revealed in court that he intended to kill Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

On March 9, Grantham pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. Grantham is 24 years old.

During his sentencing at the British Columbia Supreme Court on June 13, prosecutors revealed that he stored 3 guns, ammunition, 12 Molotov cocktails, camping supplies and a sheet with directions to Rideau Cottage in Ottawa, Canada.

Canada PM Trudeau was residing in Rideau Cottage at the time.

But by the time Grantham reached Hope in British Columbia, he reconsidered his decision to kill Canada PM Trudeau and instead thought about killing people on Vancouver's Lions Gate Bridge or at his university, Simon Fraser University.

Grantham did not go through with this act of mass violence either and went to the Vancouver police headquarters in East Vancouver, told an officer that he killed his mother and turned himself in.

He told the police and wrote in his private journal that he wanted to kill Canada PM Trudeau.

Grantham had shot his mother, Barbara Waite in the back of her head in March 2020. The body was discovered by Waite’s daughter, Lisa Grantham the next day.

In his statement to the police, Grantham said that he freaked after he committed the murder, wrote about it in his journal, took a video he made after the murder on a GoPro camera with him to get money, bought marijuana and beer, came home and experimented with Molotov cocktails and watched Netflix for some time.

No final sentence has been decided yet for Grantham.
