Joey King and Steven Piet get married in Spain after 4 years of being together

Joey King and Steven Piet are newlyweds. The couple tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in Spain on September 2, Saturday, multiple news outlets reported. The two got married after dating for four years. 

• American actress Joey King, 24, said "I do" to director Steven Piet, 34, on the island of Mallorca in Spain, in the presence of close friends and family, a source confirmed with People magazine. 

A few days before the wedding, Joey King shared photos of her with her now-husband as the two are seen enjoying a romantic time in Portugal.

The actress captioned the Instagram post, "Love is cool! Love is grand! Love is kissing in front of the Fonte dos Amores and having too many caipirinhas together."

• The two met in 2019: The couple met in 2019 on the sets of the miniseries The Act, when Piet directed two episodes of King's Hulu miniseries.
• February 2019: They began dating in February 2019 and have been going strong since then.
• February 2, 2022: The Kissing Booth star and the director got engaged on February 2, 2022, when Piet got down on one knee and proposed to King on a desert getaway.
• The elongated diamond ring that Piet proposed with is said to be worth around $150,000. 

King posted the photo from that special moment on Instagram with the caption, "I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can’t help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy."

In an exclusive interview with Page Six in August 2023, King got candid about how much she loved her then fiancé Steven Piet. 

• She said, "I can’t wait to just, like, marry Steven. I just love him so much. He’s the best person I know. He’s my best friend."
• She continued, "So that’s that’s the best part to me... the life that I get after the wedding. Not just the wedding. I get to be married after the wedding to someone that is the coolest and greatest and most gentle and wonderful person I know."

Before she started dating Steven Piet, King was romantically involved with her Kissing Booth co-star, Australian actor Jacob Elordi for about a year before the ex-couple broke up in 2018.
